Reading this book "Scattered Sand", about hardships faced by rural migrants in China.

There is a lot of detail in this book. If you read this book---even if you just randomly flip through it---its easy to get a sense of the difficulty faced by people. There are a lot of stories of lives of the rural migrants; people who move to different sectors or areas for work.

Also, one can not help but get a sense of gratitude by reading this book--acknowledging there are people who are in a worse position.


Rural: country, countrified, village.
Migrant: A worker who moves from place to place to do seasonal work.
